THE MISREPRESENTATIONS OF THE TRUTH, SINCE …
Since the beginning of the world, misrepresentations of the Truth have taken place. And the true culprit is none other than Satan. His misrepresentations of God caused the below consequences.
Revelation 12:4 “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.” (KJV)
In the garden of Eden he misrepresented God’s word to the Woman and caused her to sin along with her husband. Both were sent out of the garden. And the biggest consequence of sin was death.
Romans 6:23 ” For the wages of sin is death;………….. ” (KJV)
Men have been blinded in their own wisdom so much so that proper heed to the word of God is not being given and the True God and His Son Jesus Christ have been substituted with a Second and Third God, namely God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and this doctrine is not in harmony with the word of God, although men have many excuses and week arguments to support this false doctrine.
True Sabbath has been substituted with Sunday worship, stating the reason that since Jesus rose from the dead on Sunday all need to keep Sunday as the Sabbath. The question now posed is whether Jesus did a mistake by rising on Sunday. Not at all. It was written that he would rise again, but his resurrection has no reason for the shifting of the solemnity of Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Moreover, Jesus after his death also rested on the Sabbath.
Why would God change his day of rest?
The real reason behind all of this is that Satan wants to take away the worship meant for God, to Himself. If you are not worshiping God in Spirit and Truth then you are not a true worshipper.
John 4:23-24 ” 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (KJV)
John 8:32 ” And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (KJV)
Many more representations such as purgatory, idol worship, worshiping of saints instead of the Father and Jesus Christ, richness doctrine, once saved always saved doctrine, etc. have clouded the minds of men. Men are in search of truth but are knocking on the wrong door, They look upon fallible men for advice but are being misled. It is thus advisable for all to listen to God through His Word and learn the truth because only the Truth can lead us to Salvation.
